Light for the Lost began as a way to honor lives lost to addiction, but it’s grown into a revolution. Not loud or flashy, but gentle, persistent, and rooted in love. It’s a movement for anyone who’s ever felt invisible, unheard, or left behind.

I chose the name because I believe in carrying light into the places most people avoid—grief, addiction, trauma, loneliness. It’s not just about addiction anymore. It’s about building a foundation where art meets the lost of all kinds. Where story becomes a lifeline. Where children who feel forgotten can see themselves in a book and know they matter.

This work is personal. I chose Hyer Living to honor my maiden name and the legacy of my grandparents, who helped raise me. They ran a gas and repair shop and taught me the value of hard work, community, and rising above. They showed me how to chase dreams, find my voice, and share love and laughter even when life felt heavy.

Now, through murals, storybooks, outreach, and heartfelt merchandise, I’m building something that holds both joy and sorrow. I want Light for the Lost to become a nonprofit that supports grieving families, uplifts artists, and creates spaces where healing is possible.

This is a revolution of tenderness. Of showing up. Of turning pain into beauty and silence into story. It’s about creating systems that are transparent, inclusive, and sustainable where artists are valued, families are supported, and no one walks alone.
